Obituary for Henry A. Durst

Henry A. Durst, 87, of North Andover, passed away Friday, Jan. 11 at Lawrence General Hospital.

Mr. Durst was born in Somerset, PA on July, 18 1931 the son of the late Milton and Cora (Miller) Durst.

He was educated in the Somerset school system and worked as both a farm hand and coal miner at an early age. He was most recently employed as a Machinist at Western Electric, from where he retired.

Henry could best be described as a hard working family man. He was outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He loved to watch professional sports or westerns on TV.

Mr. Durst was predeceased by his first wife, Josephine Durst and his second wife Margaret A. Durst who passed away Jan. 9, two daughters, Jill A. Nicholson and Margret Gentry. He was also the youngest and last of 11 siblings.

He is survived by his sons, Henry A. “Dusty” Durst, Jr. and his wife Anne of Haverhill, Randy Durst of South Hero, Vt., nine grand children, 12 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
